What is GoContribute?
GoContribute is an application designed to revolutionise gift-giving at children’s birthday parties and for teacher presents by providing an easy-to-use platform that allows for collaborative, appropriate and special gifts. Our mission is to make gift-giving more meaningful, memorable, and impactful by:

How do I collect money from my friends or family?
Once logged into the app, you will need to create an event. Once your event has been created, you can share a link to that event with whoever you want to contribute towards it. In the app, you will be able to see the total amount raised for your event, who has paid into it and what amount they have paid (if they choose to make the contribution amount visible).
How do I know my money will be safe?
Our app and underlying services have been built from a security first perspective. This includes utilising number of partners in order to provide the layers of security within our technology and processes. This includes the use of Stripe, who is a globally-trusted and FCA-regulated payment processor and to verify the identity of anyone collecting and withdrawing money from our app. Additionally all payments are 3D secured by default, meaning that we request your bank or card issuer to require you to authorise all payments (if they provide such controls)
How much does it cost to use GoContribute?
Our app is free to download and use. At the point that you withdraw a contribution, a fee of 5% will be taken from the total collected amount. A fee of 5% is added to payment transactions for individuals that make a contribution to your event, at time of payment. This allows us to cover our processing costs within our platform and provide our service to you, whilst saving you the time, effort and expense of purchasing individual presents.
How do I withdraw my collection?
Once your event date has arrived, you are able to withdraw the collected amounts that have been contributed. Hopefully you reached the target amount that you were hoping for! By clicking on the closed event, you click on the ‘Collect Contribution’ button to commence the withdrawal process.
How do I set up a children’s or teacher gift collection?
Simply log into the app and create a new collection. As soon as the collection has been created, you will be provide with the option to share a link (including via WhatsApp) to individuals who may want to pay into the collection. Individuals that click on the link can easily make a payment card payment from their browser.
The collection owner has withdrawn the event funds and not used it for the stated purpose. What can I do?
Our service allows group contributions to be organised in a simple manner, without the need to pool physical cash amounts. We are unable to control what the event organiser does with the contributions once they have been withdrawn. You can apply to your bank or card provider, if you believe the person has acted in a fraudulent manner, in order to recover the payment, as per their processes.
